Checkers International, Inc. (CHECKERS) is a licensed professional private investigation firm. It is our intention to protect your privacy. In order to do so, we have developed and implemented a privacy policy that is compliant with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and other state and federal laws and regulations.


In the normal course of business, we obtain personal information and authorizations from our clients in order to enable us to conduct background checks. Personal identifying information is utilized to conduct our inquiries. No personal information is sold, disseminated, disclosed and/or shared with unaffiliated third parties, except when it is necessary to complete the requested and authorized services.


CHECKERS uses industry standard measures and security practices to safeguard your personal information from access by unauthorized persons. While it is our intention to protect your personal information, we cannot fully warrant the security of personal information and you provide your personal information to us at your own risk. CHECKERS utilizes industry standard and all reasonable mechanisms to protect and safeguard personal information.


CHECKERS will take all industry standard measures to protect information from loss, unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, alteration and/or destruction. Industry standard safeguards including but not limited to electronic, physical and managerial procedures have been implemented to secure against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and/or destruction. After a transaction is completed, information will be retained on file only as required by law.


In the normal course of business CHECKERS collects personal information in a manner that is consistent with and relevant to the purposes for which it was authorized by its clients. CHECKERS takes every step reasonably necessary to achieve maximum accuracy in the information it collects. CHECKERS cannot be responsible for errors in public court records, public records or within the records of other consumer reporting agencies, such as, but not limited to, the national credit bureaus. CHECKERS maintains procedures to insure that public record information, that may have an adverse effect on a consumer, is accurate and updated as required by FCRA Section 613 (a)(1)(2).


CHECKERS considers any individual under the age of eighteen (18) years old to be a minor. We do not actively collect information on minors without the written consent of the minor’s parents and/or legal guardians.


CHECKERS reserves the right at its sole discretion to make changes to the privacy policy. Changes will be effective upon posting on the CHECKERS website.
